Job description

The position is part of the H2020 project My-TRAC (My TRAvel Companion), which aims to develop an innovative application for seamless transport and an ecosystem of models and algorithms for public transport user choice simulation, data analytics, and affective computing. Within this project, industrial and academic partners from throughout Europe will work together to realise the project goals. Delft University of Technology will play a key role in understanding and modelling traveller behaviour, in developing a data analytics framework that mines dynamic and personalised preferences from user data, and in carrying out a pilot in the Amsterdam region.

Within this project, we are looking for a post-doctoral researcher who will focus on the integration of traveller behaviour modelling and simulation and the data analytics tools. To this end you will work closely together with two PhD students, who will work on traveller behaviour and the data analytics framework respectively. Your role will be (1) to support the PhDs in the broadest sense; (2) to aid the development of the analytics framework, such that it is useable in/for the development of the My-TRAC application, which will be developed by other partners in the project. Your role will also include close collaboration with other project partners to achieve the project's goals.
