Job description
The Department of Philosophy and Ethics at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands seeks a fixed-term lecturer with strong competency in the area of decision theory for a large Decision Theory course for engineering undergraduates. Candidates will have earned a PhD or have a dissertation defense date scheduled by the date of application. Fluency in English is required. Since the Department strives for a better gender balance, women are especially encouraged to apply.
Tasks
Teaching Decision Theory at BSc level as responsible lecturer.

Requirements
The candidate is expected to have the following qualifications:
A Ph.D. degree or defense date scheduled;Excellence in teaching as shown by course evaluations;Excellent communication and organization skills;Mastery of the English language;Ability to teach a collaborative course together with a lecturer from Psychology; affinity with technology and the engineering sciences.
Conditions of employment
We offer:
a challenging job in a dynamic and ambitious group and department;a fixed-term, four-month appointment for the period October 15, 2017 - February 15, 2017;a gross monthly salary between € 2.588,00 and € 4084,00 (based on a fulltime salary), depending on experience and knowledge;
This salary excludes the standard yearly holiday allowance of 8% of the yearly salary and end year allowance of 8.3% of the yearly salary.
