The Department of Organization and Strategy (O&S) invites applicants for the position of Lecturer.

Job description

Lecturers within the department have a wide variety of teaching tasks including tutoring of student groups, the grading of exercises and examinations, and tutoring in skills trainings for students. Teaching activities are oriented towards bachelor programs for economics and international business. Typically a lecturer is also involved in developing and coordinating courses in the curriculum of the department. Some lecturers are also involved in courses offered by other business departments at the School of Business and Economics of Maastricht University, depending on their background and personal interests. The working language is English. The length of the position is negotiable, with a maximum of four years. The starting date is September 1st 2017, but is negotiable.

Requirements

The ideal candidate holds a Master degree with a background in business economics, business administration, economics, human resource management, management, entrepreneurship, organization or strategy. The list is not exhaustive and candidates from related and relevant disciplines are also encouraged to apply. Relevant practical experience is not a prerequisite for the position, but would be appreciated. Experience with working in a Problem Based Learning environment is advantageous.

The Department of Organization and Strategy of the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics was founded in the year 2002. In the relatively short period of its existence, the department has gained a strong reputation in both research and education. Our department is pursuing high quality research and publishes regularly in renowned international journals. Research is multidisciplinary and spans the fields of Industrial Organization and Entrepreneurship, International Business and Strategic Management, Organizational Theory and Behavior as well as the interrelationships between these disciplines.
