You will be part of the project “ProgrammE in Costing, resource use measurement and outcome valuation for Use in multi-sectoral National and International health economic evaluAtions” (PECUNIA) which has been funded by the European Union. The international PECUNIA consortium is a unique network of ten partners from six countries with relevant complementary methodological expertise. PECUNIA aims to harmonise methods and standardise tools for the comprehensive measurement and valuation of economic, societal and wellbeing impacts within a multi-sectoral economic evaluation. You will be the junior researcher of this project and you will have the following main tasks i) Standardize the measurement of inter-sectoral costs t with a focus on the educational and criminal justice sector, ii) standardize the valuation of these (and other relevant) intersectoral costs within economic evaluations and iii) provide  country-specific contributions for PECUNIA for the Netherlands together with Erasmus University Rotterdam.

For this project you will be working within the department of Health Services Research of the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (Dr. Paulus and Prof. Evers) and closely work together with the department of Clinical Epidemiology and Medical Technology Assessment of the Maastricht University Medical Center + (Prof. Dirksen).

• You have a master’s degree in health sciences, health economics, public health or a related discipline with a substantial component of research training or relevant research experience.
• You are enthusiastic and like to work in an international context.
• You have a demonstrated interest and understanding of health technology assessment, health economics and economic evaluation.
• You are versatile (a generalist) and able to contribute to multidisciplinary research.
• You have excellent writing skills (both in Dutch and English), and preferably have earlier published publications
• You are able to work independently, to take initiatives and capable of managing deadlines.
• You have good communication skills to motivate a team to work towards the common success of a  project
• You are available for 48 months for this project starting from January 1st, 2018.
• You are able to attend the job interviews which will be held on October 31, 2017 (first round) and November 14, 2017 (second round).

Your salary would be € 2.222,-- gross per month in the first year up to € 2.840,-- gross per month in the fourth year according to the PhD-student salary scale.

Each year an evaluation will take place.
