You will be responsible for the development, coordination, and dissemination of various educational and career development initiatives within two of Europe’s most successful research and training networks.
INTERDEM Academy is a pan-European training network for the career development and capacity building of early-career researchers in the field of psychosocial interventions for people with dementia and their caregivers. The coordinator will be involved in the organisation of expert masterclasses and seminars, as well as the handling of biannual research exchange fellowships. Training Manager for INDUCT: Interdisciplinary Network for Dementia Using Current Technology (INDUCT) is a Marie Curie Innovative Training Network (ITN) in dementia care and technology involving a total of 15 PhD students (Early Stage Researchers – ESRs) across 6 international partner organisations with funding of €3,8m over four years (H2020-MSCA-ITN-2015, grant agreement number 676265). The Training Manager will be responsible for organising three INDUCT Summer and Winter Schools. More information: www.dementiainduct.eu
Both networks are associated with INTERDEM, a large international, clinical academic network initated in 1999 in order to promote research on early recognition and psychosocial intervention in dementia, to build capacity and to develop a better understanding of the experience of people with dementia and their families, throughout Europe.
Required:
- Obtained or about to obtain a PhD in medical, social or health sciences, Psychology, Technology, or a related field;
- Experience with clinical / psychosocial research in the field of dementia;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (oral and written); - A passion for working with early-career dementia researchers
Preferred:
- Experience with educational development
- Experience with event and/or project management
- Able and willing to work in an interdisciplinary, intersectoral environment;
- Ambitious, willing and able to work collaboratively with colleagues across Europe, flexible attitude to work, internationally oriented and willing to travel, able to work under pressure.
Fixed-term contract: 1 year, with possibility for extension.

Depending on experience and qualification, the gross monthly salary is scale 11 (max. € 4757), based on a full-time appointment.
