The research group intellectual disabilities and health at the Department of Primary and Community Care Radboudumc, and the Information Technology Group (INF) at Wageningen University, have one postdoctoral position for a study on structural monitoring of the health of people with intellectual disabilities. As a researcher, you are involved in the design and execution of this project, conducting a stakeholder analysis that records which regional parties gather information about the health of people with intellectual disabilities and how they do this. Additionally, you set up the required information system infrastructure and perform analyzes on acquired data using machine learning and big data analytics. The postdoc will be working for both the Radboudumc and the Information Technology Group at Wageningen University.
We are looking for a creative and independent researcher with a PhD degree and related experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and/or big data analytics. We ask for a background and track record of peer-reviewed publications in these topics. The postdoc should contribute to the application of machine learning and big data workflows of the project topics, and devise the software and programming environments (Matlab, R, Python). As you will be working in an interdisciplinary team, we expect a pro-active and collaborative attitude and excellent communication skills both in presentations and writing.
Fixed-term contract: Employment will initially be for two years with possible extension.
Scale 10: max. € 57947 gross income per year at full employment (incl. vacation bonus and end of year payments)

Department of Primary and Community Care
The research center is a part of the Primary Care Department at Radboud university medical center. The Primary Care Department is a top, international center for education, training, and research in the field of Primary Care. The Department houses a wide array of disciplines with the common thread in that they all operate within the sphere of primary care. These involve disciplines such as General Practice Medicine, specialization Elderly Care Medicine, Public Health, Occupational Medicine, and Intellectual Disability Medicine.
With 210 staff members (130 FTE), the Primary Care Department is one of the larger departments at Radboud university medical center and fulfills an important role as a liaison between the hospital and primary healthcare. The Department focuses on developing, supporting, and evaluating care innovations, particularly through the incorporation and integration of prevention, self-care and autonomy, primary healthcare, and transmural care. Since 2010, patient care has formed an integral component of the Department via academic health centers, where the emphasis lies strongly on proactive, multidisciplinary, innovative and integrated care.
