Job description

We invite applications for a research position to study and investigate the effect of specific substances on the properties of gas separation membranes. It is not only key to understand how these substances affect the membrane properties, but also to develop strategies to solve any undesired effects. Furthermore, a second major goal is to develop new sustainable recipes for the preparation of membranes for gas separation applications. As you will closely work together with industrial partners, good communication and project management skills are key in this project.

You will be part of the European Membrane Institute Twente (EMI Twente) of the University of Twente, which is part of the research cluster Membrane Science and Technology. The EMI Twente aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by translating academic know-how ultimately into new demonstrated products and processes for the industry. This is typically done in the form of bilateral confidential research and development projects.

As a researcher of the EMI Twente you are expected to perform research of high quality and to efficiently collaborate with industrial partners, contributing in that way to the success of the EMI Twente.
