Job description

In the new economy, marketing is highly technology-driven. For instance, marketing communication increasingly takes place online, via social media, and via digital devices such as apps and new media in retail outlets. In order to optimally adjust marketing activities to user needs and preferences, a solid knowledge of consumer psychology is essential. Furthermore, how to identify and respond to user concerns in relation to big data, data sharing, and privacy? In line with our university’s hi-tech/human-touch mission statement, we are looking for a candidate who sees both the opportunities and (societal) challenges connected to new types of marketing.

You will be teaching (0.7 fte) in the bachelor’s and master’s programmes of Communication Science. For instance, in the bachelor’s programme you will contribute to modules on digital marketing and consumer behavior; in the master’s programme you will teach courses closely related to your research expertise. All teaching will be in English. You will develop a productive and viable research line on design and marketing, and play an active role in the acquisition of research funding (0.3 fte).
