You will have a leading position in the research programme Education and Learning. This research programme focuses on processes in education. In the programme, education and learning is studied in a framework that integrates neurocognitive, affective, physical, social and cultural factors. Education and Learning is studied in both informal and formal education settings, and during key phases of the life course.
The research programme Education and Learning is carried out collaboratively by the section Education and the section Special Education: Cognitive & Motor Disabilities. You will also participate in supervising PhD students in Educational Sciences and contribute to PhD Education in the context of the Faculty and national Research School ICO.
Management
You will be a member of the management team of the section Education and you’ll have administrative and managerial duties regarding personnel in the chair and at the level of the Department and/or Faculty. You will provide (academic) leadership for the staff of the section in research and teaching programmes.
You should have the following qualifications. If you are a talented associate professor who does not yet meet all of these qualifications, but expects to be able to meet them within a period of 3-5 years, is also invited to apply, in which case you might be offered a career track position towards this chair.
In principle we offer a tenured position (but depending on qualifications a temporary appointment followed by tenure may be offered) for 0.8 – 1.0 FTE. The gross salary - depending on previous qualifications and experience - ranges between €5,334 and €7,766 (salary scale H2, Dutch Universities Conditions of Employment) gross per month for a full-time position.
