  • Designing and conducting experimental empirical research;
  • Presenting its findings on scientific conferences;
  • Reporting its findings in international journals;
  • Participating in the teaching program of the Organization Studies department;
  • Contributing to the development/testing of the on-line platform.

Requirements

  • The candidate should hold a degree in Work and/or Organizational Psychology or a Social Sciences related field (a Research Master degree is preferred) by the starting date of the project;
  • Furthermore, the candidate should have affinity with experimental research designs. Experience with conducting experiments will be advantageous;
  • Advanced data analysis or programming skills are a plus for the position;
  • A good command of spoken and written English is essential;
  • Proactivity and willingness to operate in a multidisciplinary environment is appreciated;
  • The candidate is an independent, creative, motivated and curious scholar;

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 4 years.

The appointments are intended to lead to the completion of a PhD thesis. The PHD appointment begins with a period of 12 months. Continuation of the appointment with another 36 months will be based on performance evaluation. The gross salary for the PHD position amounts € 2191 per month in the first year, rising to € 2801 per month in the fourth year, based on a full-time appointment (38 hours per week).

 

The starting date is negotiable, but preferably no later than September 2018. Applicants who are current students should include information about expected graduation date in the cover letter.

Department of Organisation Studies

The Department of Organization Studies focuses on the study of organizations from a relational perspective. The relational perspective is rooted in the social and behavioral sciences. The focus is on interorganisational relations and networks as well as intraorganizational relations, such as the functioning of teams. The department has a strong emphasis on theory driven empirical research and teaching rooted in the social and behavioral sciences.
