Job description

The department seeks a part time/full time professor who will enforce the experimental disciplines in our department with implementation in the field of immunology within the research themes of the department. He/she will develop and apply new analytical approaches using our technology platforms to strengthen his / her research line.

Requirements

The candidate should have a background in biomedical research with affinity for immunology. A proven ability to attract external grants to finance his/her postdocs and PhD students is required. The candidate should demonstrate a proven record of excellent capabilities of leadership and collaborations, innovation and valorisation of research outcomes. Experience in teaching of undergraduate and graduate programs is favoured.

Candidates are invited to send their curriculum vitae, including their previous research experience, a short outline of their future research program (max. 3 pages), and displaying his/her enthusiasm for participation within the department.

Conditions of employment

Salary Scale 14: 5229 tot 6665 euro gross when employed full-time (depending on qualifications and experience).

Molecular Cell Biology and Immunology

The department of Molecular Cell Biology and Immunology (MCBI) performs fundamental and preclinical research in the field of Cancer Immunology, Neuroimmunology and Mucosal Immunology. The department performs innovative, cutting-edge and excellent research with translational character. Additionally, the MCBI department provides both theoretical and hands-on education of the highest quality in topics such as in immunology, cell biology and biochemistry to biomedical and medicine students.
