As an Assistant Professor you will participate in the research program “changing governance, governing change”. Within this context you can develop your own research line. You will co-supervise PhD’s and lecture public administration and governance to students both in social and natural sciences at Wageningen University. In addition, you are expected to contribute actively to the acquisition of research grants, consultancy and research projects.

You are an ambitious and enthusiastic scientist and a team player, devoted to research and education in public management, governance and policy making.The ideal candidate
- Has completed a PhD in the field of public administration, political sciences or organizational science, with a clear application to the governance of complex societal problems. - Is interested in the Wageningen problem domains, such as climate change policies, sustainable agriculture, food politics, governance of rural areas and water management.- Is an enthusiastic lecturer with strong didactic skills, who likes to teach (international) students in a broad range of programs, both introductionary and advanced courses- Has an international network or is willing to build an own network- Has the ability to acquire externally financed projects- Would like to work in an interdisciplinary context - Has published internationally in refereed scientific journals- Is fluent in English

We offer you as talented scientist a challenging career trajectory called Tenure Track. From the position of Assistant Professor you can grow into a Full Professor holding a Personal Chair. Of course training and coaching are provided and interdisciplinary (international) cooperation is stimulated. You will also be given the chance to build up your own research line.

As we will only be selecting outstanding candidates to take part in Tenure Track, this will be a good stepping stone to a further career within Wageningen UR or elsewhere.
We offer you a temporary contract for 0,8 - 1,0 fte, for three years with a possibility of extension when the tenure track criteria are met (for more information see http://www.wur.nl/UK/work/tenuretrack). Gross salary: from € 3195,00 to € 4374,00 per month, based on full time employment (38 hours a week) and dependent on expertise and experience.Application
