We are the Laboratory of BioNanoTechnology, BioNT, a young chair group of Wageningen University, which is an active and internationally oriented group of researchers (1 full prof, 4 staff members, 9 PhD students, 10-15 BSc/MSc students) with the ambition to double in size in the coming years. We are embedded in the BioMolecular science cluster and the MAGNEtic resonance research FavilitY - MAGNEFY. Keywords that characterize the style of working are: freedom to explore own initiatives, working in a team (mutual coaching), open-door-communications, creative thinking. The group offers expertise in (bio)inorganic chemistry, supramolecular and nanoparticle chemistry, nanotechnology and optical and NMR spectroscopy. Our research aims are exploration and development of emerging areas within the field of BioNanoTechnology, with application in supramolecular sensors systems and biomedical applications, viz. Nanomedicine.
The Agrotechnology & Food Sciences Group is part of Wageningen University & Research where fundamental and applied sciences complement each other. As an important European player, we carry out top-level research and work alongside authoritative partners within the international business world as well as the government on "Healthy food in a biobased society".
