We are looking for an enthusiastic and enterprising entomologist, capable of creating and translating science to practice for national and international agriculture and horticulture.

The candidate for this position will work for two business units at Wageningen UR, namely 'Biointeractions and Plant Health (BIOINT)' and 'Applied Arable and Vegetable Research (PAV)'. In this position you will ideally connect more fundamental research from BIOINT with the more applied research from PAV. You are challenged to initiate, lead and carry out multidisciplinary projects with variable external parties (scientific, companies, government). You are able to connect with people thereby using and enlarging your network.

• An ambitious scientist with academic background, experienced in initiating and conducting complex projects and able to maintain and extent networks in the following areas of science:
  • Entomology
  • Plant production systems (arable and vegetable crops)
  • Knowledge valorisation
• A colleague able to translate fundamental knowledge to practice and vice versa.

Wageningen Research offers good working conditions. For this job we offer a minimum salary of € 3.062,- gross up to maximum € 4.757,- gross (scale 11) per month on the basis of a full-time position (36 hours). The position is initially for one year (with possibilities for further extension). You will be working 50/50 in Wageningen and Lelystad.
