Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and productive postdoctoral chemist to strengthen our team on Advanced Materials for Chemical Selectivity and to work in the interdisciplinary field of organic surface chemistry and electrochemistry.

The project deals with an important topic in water treatment technologies, which currently largely focus on improving the quality of water. However, high-value nutrients, like nitrate and phosphate ions, often remain present in waste streams. Electro-driven separation processes offer a sustainable way to recover these nutrients. Ion-selective, polymer-based electrodes display significant potential to achieve selectivity in such processes.

We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious postdoctoral researcher who will fabricate and characterize new electrodes to apply them in electro-driven ion adsorption processes, aiming at ion-selective removal and recovery. The project will deal with organic material science, surface chemistry and electrochemistry.
