Research project

For a research project on the development of new guidelines and indicators for supportive care in pediatric oncology we are looking for a PhD student.

The project will focus on the development of 2 clinical practice guidelines on “restrictions in daily life” and blood transfusions. Secondly, we will develop indicators to analyse the use of guidelines.

Education and skills

For the offered position, we are looking for a highly enthusiastic and motivated PhD student, preferably with experience in clinical research projects. You have affinity with pediatric oncology. You like to collaborate and support other researchers and you are keen on clear communication with colleagues about research methods and results.

Conditions of employment

We offer

A temporary, full time position (36 hours a week) as a PhD student. You will start on a temporary position for the duration of one year that -when satisfactory- will be extended. The Princess Máxima Center operates according to the collective labour agreement ‘cao algemene ziekenhuizen’.

Tissing Group

The research group of Wim Tissing at the Princess Maxima Center focusses on clinical research with respect to supportive care in pediatric oncology. In our studies, we collaborate with many other disciplines to involve as much knowledge as possible. We contribute to the mission statement of the Princes Maxima Center: cure for all children with cancer with optimal quality of life. The main focus of the Tissing Group is on infections, nutrition and guideline development. Within this project we will collaborate with the Kremer Group, with a focus on guideline development and indicators of care.
