This year, the UB has identified all the faculties’ needs and priorities regarding Pure. The 2020 Research Output programme is the result of this process.

This programme has the following objectives:
- optimizing the administrative process in Pure to ensure that entering articles into the Pure database demands a minimal effort from researchers and that researchers can easily (re)use the information from Pure in other places
- using Pure for the funding request process for academic research
- further optimizing the use of Pure by conducting an audit at all faculties
- replacing the Pure portal with an innovative, future-proof solution.

Profile
You are an enthusiastic project manager with a strong, confident personality, who is able to lead the Research Output 2020 programme.

You are the spider in the web of a programme that will impact all researchers at the UG and UMCG. You will be responsible for achieving the aforementioned programme objectives. You will select a good team and motivate all those involved. You are able to employ your hard and soft skills in your role as a project manager to maintain a consistent course with all the stakeholders, including researchers for whom Pure is generally only a secondary issue.

Duties:
● you will ensure the commitment of the steering committee, the stakeholders of the programme
● you will draw up the project plan, based on the project proposal approved by the Board of the University
● you will ensure the steering committee’s approval for the project plan
● you will align the required capacity in terms of staff and resources
● you will execute the project plan and supervise the project teams
● you will determine the scope and timing of and the relationships between the projects; you prioritize them when they exceed the agreed limits
● you will create progress reports and discuss them
● you will evaluate the programme’s results and adjust the plans accordingly
● you will ensure the optimized methods at the research institutes.

Requirements

● demonstrable experience with organizing larger projects, as a project or programme manager
● an ability to think and work at an academic level
● persuasive abilities, organizational sensitivity, collaborative leadership and result-driven management
● excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
● experience as a researcher or service provider in an academic context is a plus
● experience with information flows in an environment with multiple connected applications is a plus.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 24 maanden.

We offer you in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities:
- a maximum salary, depending on qualifications and experience of € 4,978 (scale 11) gross per month for a full-time position
- a temporary appointment for the duration of 2 years. The position is linked to the UFO profile of Project Manager 4.

Date of entry into employment: 1 September 2019.
