Social Integration of Refugees through Education and Self Employment (SIREE).
The project aims to improve the social and economic integration of refugees by co-creating and introducing new demonstrations to increase the engagement of refugees in the education process and to improve the economic independence of refugees through self-employment. It will tackle the key societal challenge of social exclusion by increasing the access to education and self-employment through the methodology of co-creation. Partners include the University of Greenwich, Vives Zuid, Medway Plus, University College Roosevelt, Stad Mechelen, ADICE, Municipality Middelburg, Arhus (vzw Het Portaal) and Huis van het Leren. SIREE is an Interreg Europe project.The Communications Officer is part of the Communications Office at University College Roosevelt, but works primarily on the SIREE program. The SIREE Communications Officer implements the communication strategy as set out in the SIREE Work Plans. S/he reports to the Head of Communications of University College Roosevelt. The SIREE Communications Officer will be part of a young team in which development and teamwork is a key factor.
Tasks include
This position is for 0.8 FTE preferably starting preferably per August 1, 2019. We offer a project based employment contract for a temporary period of time until the project ends or until June 30, 2021. Depending on experience, the salary for the position is from minimum € 2,579 (min scale 8) to maximum € 3,445 gross per month (max scale 8) based on full-time employment. Furthermore we offer:
- Holiday allowance of 8%
- End of year allowance of 8.3%
- ABP pension fund
- 232 leave hours based on fulltime employment plus possible additional leave hours of 96 based on fulltime employment.
