The selected candidate will work alongside Dr. Aaron Martin to contribute to research on ‘Regulation, Ethics and Accountability in Data Partnerships for Humanitarian Aid’. This project is part of Dr. Linnet Taylor’s Global Data Justice project.
The selected applicant will conduct desk research and literature reviews on the intersection of humanitarian law and data with a particular focus on ethics, regulation and accountability in humanitarian agencies’ use of data technologies, including through partnerships with the private sector. In addition, we expect the researcher to support the drafting of briefs and to assist with the organization and convening of international expert meetings.
Fixed-term contract: Six months.
The appointment will be for a fixed period of 6 months. Depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications, the starting gross salary will vary between €2,709 and €4,274 (full time) based on scale 10 of the Collective Labor Agreement (CAO) Dutch Universities.
