Employer

European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) is a non-profit organisation, which was established in 1974 to allow scientists and physicians involved in blood and marrow transplantation to share their experience and develop co-operative studies. Our mission is to foster excellence in science in order to further improve the outcomes of stem cell transplantation and inform all concerned, including patients and their families, about developments in the field.

To this end, the Society works to the highest standards to promote all aspects associated with the transplantation of haematopoietic stem cells from all donor sources and donor types including basic and clinical research, education, standardisation, quality control, and accreditation for transplant procedures. Members of the EBMT are mainly centres active in transplantation of any kind of haematopoietic stem cells or any other organisation or individual involved in the care of donors and recipients of haematopoietic stem cells.

The EBMT has offices in Barcelona, Leiden, London and Paris, and currently has 70 members of staff working on behalf of the organisation. You will be supervised by staff members of the department of Biomedical Data Sciences of Leiden University Medical Center, which has a large and active group dedicated to survival analysis and an intensive collaboration with several organisations active in the field of haematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
