We are looking for a new postdoc to appoint for two years at the Mathematics of Operations Research group at the University of Twente (https://www.utwente.nl/en/eemcs/mor/) in the project `WebInsight’; funded by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency and the European Commission.
The project is a collaboration between several companies based in France and the University of Twente.
Together with our industrial partners, we aim to deliver high-value analysis of World-Wide-Web (WWW) content. The project focuses on the introduction of predictive elements in web crawling, scoring websites & pages through continuous processing of data for semantic characterization.
As a postdoc, you will play an important part in the creation of scoring methods that will be usable in the prioritization of the crawling process. This research involves a combination of mathematical modeling, statistics, network science, and machine learning. We expect you to design novel scoring functions, and then prototype, evaluate and test them on the web data obtained from the industrial partners.
The MOR group is a part of the Digital Society Institute and the Data Science network at the University of Twente. You will benefit from our broad national and international network of academic contacts and research programs of the MOR group and the WebInsight consortium.
