Job description

We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in the field of international or European law, international publications and teaching experience.  You will be expected to research and teach courses in the field of international and European economic law as well as courses related to sustainability and climate change.  In addition, you may be involved in introductory courses in international and European Union law.

  • international publications in peer reviewed journals
  • willingness to apply for research funds
  • for successful candidates prepared to commit to learning Dutch, there is the possibility to follow language courses at the university.
     

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 2 years.

A challenging position in a socially involved organization. On full-time basis the remuneration amounts to a minimum gross monthly salary of €3,637 (scale 11)
and a maximum €5,656 (scale 12), depending on your education and experience. The job profile: is based on the university job ranking system and is vacant for at least 0.8 FTE.

The initial employment contract will affect a period of 2 years, with the possibility of extension.

About the department TLS
You will join the department Transnational Legal Studies, which is focused on public international law, European Union law and internet law. You will also join the research program ‘Boundaries of Law’, a multidisciplinary environment harboring researchers from the field of law, philosophy and political science. The courses you will teach are divided between our master programs ‘Transnational Legal Studies’, ‘International Business Law’ and ‘International Technology Law’. You will also teach courses in our law bachelor as well as our new bachelor program ‘Law in Society’.
