Job Description

Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Erasmus University, invites applications for a lecturer position in Information Systems. The position is in the Department of Technology and Operations Management (Section BIM - Business Information Management). The starting date is 1 January 2020. This is a temporary position, until 30 June 2020.

The lecturer position involves the supervision of 8 master theses for a 0.2FTEs contract. The requirements for 0.4 FTEs or 0.6 FTEs are 16 and 24 master theses respectively. RSM’s MSc Business Information Management programme teaches a world-class, one-year curriculum, where students follow compulsory and elective courses and write a thesis.

Required qualifications

Successful applicants are expected to have a PhD degree in Information Systems, or related fields (i.e. Management, Marketing, Economics, Computer Science), and demonstrate a strong interest and a proven track record in teaching at MSc levels and a proven track record in this respect.

Employment Conditions

The conditions of employment comply with the collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU). The lecturer appointment runs from 1 January 2020 until 30 June 2020, which can be extended. Erasmus University Rotterdam has attractive employment conditions, which include a holiday allowance of 8 per cent, an end-of-year bonus of 8.3 per cent, and a generous number of vacation days. Favourable tax agreements may apply to non-Dutch applicants.
