EIT RawMaterials KIC is now recruiting an Education Commercialisation Manager (m/f/d) within the EIT RawMaterials KIC – Knowledge and Innovation Community

Job description

This role will be responsible for identifying, assessing, developing and commercialising opportunities with a focus on professional training and development in the KIC’s sectors and industries. This includes training programmes developed by EIT RawMaterials’ consortium partners. This post is .5FTE, which corresponds to 20 hours per week. 

In addition, the post holder will provide strategic advice and assistance to the Director of Education and the Management Team on commercialisation, negotiation and contract reviews.  

The Project Manager will: 

  • Contribute to a culture of innovation and strategic thinking in commercialisation around education;
  • Co-development of a commercialisation education strategy together with the Director of Education;
  • Identify opportunities with potential commercial partners including negotiation of a contract, licence and collaboration agreements;
  • Develop a working relationship with internal stakeholders, in particular, the Business Developers as well as the Education Committee and external stakeholders, including companies and professional organisations in the raw materials field;
  • Development of Business cases for commercialisation opportunities;
  • Provide input into EIT RawMaterials’ strategic direction for education commercialisation; 
  • Write reports and the relevant parts of the business plan;
  • Develop and lead meetings/workshops with internal and/or external stakeholders; 
  • Represent the EIT RawMaterials KIC externally when required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Over 5 years’ professional experience in strategy and commercialisation
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • High English-language proficiency 
  • Experience with customer-relations, negotiation and contracts
  • Comprehensive experience with project management
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel in Europe.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 1 year.

The Manager (m/f) will be employed by EIT Raw Materials GmbH and based at our Headquarters in Berlin and will report to the Director of Education.

This is a part-time post, for 20 hours per week. The contract is for 1 year to start with, from January 2020.
