Job description

The Optoelectronic Materials Group (https://www.utwente.nl/en/tnw/ims/research/research-morales/ )part of the Inorganic Materials Science Chair of the University of Twente has an opening for anoutstanding postdoctoral associate in the context of a recently funded ERC StG project.
Candidates are sought with a doctoral degree in physics, materials science or chemistry and previous research experience in halide perovskites. The successful candidate will work on the development of a novel in-vacuum deposition method for hybrid and all-inorganic halide perovskites. Additional tasks include process development, combinatorial growth for material discovery and in-depth characterization of material properties. A particular goal of the project is the demonstration of a new method allowing the controlled growth of hybrid materials and their functionalization, as well as the discovery of new material compositions. Consequently, previous experience with vacuum equipment, plasma physics, sputtering or PLD, and a full breadth of material characterization (XPS, UPS, XRD, optical spectroscopy, PL, electrical characterization) and device fabrication is highly desirable.

Experience with in-situ experimentation is an asset. The developed hybrid halide perovskite materials are expected to be implemented in solar cells and other optoelectronic devices together with national and international collaborators.
