The Department of Organization, Strategy and Entrepreneurship (OSE) invites applicants for two positions of Lecturer.

Job description

Lecturers within the department have a wide variety of teaching tasks including tutoring of student groups, the grading of exercises and examinations, and tutoring in skills trainings for students. Teaching activities are oriented towards bachelor programs for economics and international business students. Moreover, a lecturer may be involved in developing and coordinating of courses in the curriculum of the department. Depending on their background and personal interests, a lecturer may be involved as well in courses offered by other business departments at the School of Business and Economics of Maastricht University. The working language is English. The length of the position is negotiable, with a maximum of six years. The preferred starting date is February 1st, 2020, but is negotiable.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is fluent in English, is an experienced instructor, and holds a PhD degree with a background in business economics, business administration, economics, human resource management, management, entrepreneurship, organization or strategy. The list is not exhaustive and candidates from related and relevant disciplines are also encouraged to apply. An Academic Teaching Qualification is desirable, but can be obtained on the job also through SBE’s Teaching Academy. Experience with working in a Problem Based Learning environment is considered  an advantage.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: maximum of six years.

Department of Organization, Strategy and Entrepreneurship

The Department of Organization, Strategy and Entrepreneurship of the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics was founded in the year 2019. The department is pursuing high quality research and publishes regularly in renowned international journals. Research is multidisciplinary and spans the fields of Business Economics, Industrial Organization and Entrepreneurship, International Business and Strategic Management, Organizational Theory and Behavior, and the interrelationships between these disciplines. The variety of expertise available allows us to provide excellent education at the Bachelor’s, Master’s and Ph.D. level in the broad area of organization, strategy, entrepreneurship and applied econometrics.
