Job description

As an Admissions Officer at the University College Roosevelt you will be responsible for UCR’s application and admissions processes. Specifically you will:

  • process submitted applications in our online portal (Osiris) and communicate with applicants on the status of their application;
  • organize application interviews with both the applicants and the UCR Admission Team members;
  • participate in UCR’s on campus recruitment activities such as Open Days, campus visits and webinars;
  • manage the admissions inbox and respond to prospect inquiries;
  • work in close collaboration with UCR’s Recruitment Officers to keep admission requirements, processes and practices up to date.

Requirements

We are looking for a colleague who:
  • has a HBO Bachelor's or several years of work experience in the specific field of admissions and/or student administration;
  • has excellent (intercultural and interpersonal) communication skills in both written and spoken English and Dutch;
  • is well versed in the Microsoft Office package (experience with Osiris is an advantage);
  • is proactive, independent as well as a team player, problem solving and result oriented;
  • pays great attention to detail and can work accurately and structured especially when deadlines are approaching.

Conditions of employment

We initially offer a position (0.6 FTE: 24 hours per week) for a year, starting preferably on the first of February 2020. The gross salary - depending on previous qualifications and experience  - ranges between €1,992 and €3,052 (scale 6/7 according to the Collective Labour Agreement Dutch Universities) per month for a full-time employment. Salaries are supplemented with a holiday bonus of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3% per year. University College Roosevelt (UCR) is one of the English taught International Honors Colleges of Utrecht University. The staff and students form a vibrant academic community centered on a Liberal Arts and Sciences Bachelor’s education.
