For the project 'Effective learning and student-team collaboration in the international classroom at TU/e' we are looking for a post doc researcher for 0.6 fte (3 days per week) for two years (with an evaluative moment after the first year). The start date: as soon as possible.
According to TU/e policy the university will further internationalize also in connection to development in the Brainport region. In addition, TU/e is renewing its education as described in 'strategy 2030 - drivers of change
[1].
Central to the project is an in-depth empirical study of the effectiveness of the international classroom in courses and projects that align with (or are precursors to) 'Challenge-Based Education' as indicated in the Strategy 2030. The key objective of
the project is to obtain insight into the factors that have an impact on the effectiveness of nationally/culturally diverse student teams in challenged-based education at TU/e programs. A more general aim is to provide an inventory of the size and characteristics of 'the international classroom' at TU/e, and the teaming and learning of all students (Dutch, European, international etc.) in this international classroom. An inclusive perspective is taken with respect to intrinsic heterogeneity of the student population.
The postdoc will be positioned at Eindhoven School of Education at TU/e, which for this project closely collaborates with the Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences department. Aside from this project, other research projects are running that e.g. focus on Challenge Based Learning.
