Job description

The Department of Quantitative Economics at the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE) is looking for a lecturer or assistant professor in the areas of Operations Research, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management and Data Intelligence.

The position is initially available for three years starting from March 1, 2020.

The applicant will be appointed either as a lecturer or as an assistant professor, depending on qualifications and work experience, and will contribute to the research and teaching activities of the department in the above areas.

Requirements

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a Ph.D. in a relevant area, who has a strong affinity with teaching.

As the language of instruction is English, your command of English (oral and writing) should be excellent.

Previous experience in working with innovative, interdisciplinary learning approaches and problem-based teaching methods are highly welcomed. Experience with teaching international classrooms would be preferable.

Conditions of employment

The desired starting date of the position is March 1st 2020.
The position is a tenure track assistant professorship.
Salary is competitive, depending on qualifications and work experience, and is based on the collective labour agreement of the Dutch universities (CAO), salary scales 11-12.
