The HR Studies department is looking for an enthusiastic new team member who is excellent in both research and teaching. To extend the department’s current range of expertise, we are particularly keen to recruit an Assistant Professor whose main focus is on Strategic HRM. Applicants should be particularly strong in advanced quantitative research techniques. Experience with executive training of (HR) professionals is also very much appreciated. The post will involve developing your own research activities in line with the department’s research programme. It will also involve teaching in both our Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in HRS. Another part of the post will involve supervising Bachelor and Master theses.

Requirements

Applicants should hold a PhD in HRM, business management, or social sciences and have a strong publication and teaching record. They will need to be fluent in both written and spoken English and possess excellent presentation and communication skills.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: a five-year tenure track, with the possibility of tenure thereafter.

For the tenure track Assistant Professor, a five-year tenure track, with the possibility of tenure thereafter, applies. The salary for the position of an Assistant Professor on a full-time basis ranges between € 3.637,- and € 4.978,- gross per month (various allowances are not included).

Department of Human Resource Studies

Human Resource Studies within TSB, headed by Prof. Dr. Dorien Kooij, is a well-established department with a strong reputation in academia. The department is well-known for its expertise in taking a balanced approach to strategic HRM (focusing on well-being, development and performance), strengths-based- and lifespan approaches to HRM, and inclusive HRM. The ongoing research of staff members are organised around four core themes: 1) Aligning strategic HRM, wellbeing, and performance, 2) Enhancing worker health and well-being over the life span, 3) Learning, development, and the strengths-based approach, and 4) Inclusive HRM.
