Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) invites applications for an assistant professor (tenure track) position in the department of Business-Society Management, starting in the spring or fall of 2021, depending on the availability of the selected candidate.

Required qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • a PhD in management and organisation or a closely related field
  • an expertise in management and organisation research geared towards addressing important societal or environmental issues.
  • a strong commitment to high-quality research as well as evidence of ability to conduct impactful work and to publish in top journals
  • the ability to contribute to the department’s teaching activities at undergraduate, master, MBA, and PhD levels.

Conditions of employment

The conditions of employment comply with the collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU).

Salary is subject to training and experience and may vary from a minimum of € 3,637 gross per month and up to a maximum of € 4,978 gross per month (scale 11 CAO NU), based on a full-time contract of 38 hours.

Favourable tax agreements may apply to non-Dutch applicants. Erasmus University Rotterdam has attractive employment conditions, which include a holiday allowance of 8 per cent, an end-of-year bonus of 8.3 per cent, and a generous number of vacation days.

Department

RSM’s department of Business-Society Management was established over 20 years ago as one of the first business and society departments in a leading European business school. It ranks among the best in Europe in terms of research productivity and societal impact. The department’s research is multi-disciplinary in nature, using a diverse set of theories and methods to study current topics concerning ethical, social and sustainable forms of management and organisation.

Current full-time faculty of the Business-Society Management department includes Joep Cornelissen, Lucas Meijs, Marius Van Dijke, Rob Van Tulder, Flore Bridoux, Dianne Bevelander, Ben Wempe, Guido Berens, Steve Kennedy, Helen Gubby, Salla Laasonen, Mirjam Werner, Emilio Marti, Corinna Frey, and Pietro Versari.
