Job description

More than ever, the need to prepare students in all kinds of education for creative problem solving is evident. Today’s global challenges not only require in-depth knowledge and expertise, but also ask for an openness to developing new lines of thinking. Universities conduct the fundamental research that delivers the knowledge needed to address these challenges, and teach their students to develop critical thinking skills to use this knowledge adequately and creatively. This two-year postdoctoral project focuses on (a) the role that creativity plays in developing students’ critical thinking skills and (b) how university teachers can design and guide creative challenges aimed at such a development.
