As a postdoc you will conduct research on new vaccines for COVID-19. Within this project, you will work with multiple immunological and cell biological techniques, especially in vitro, but also in vivo model systems. Furthermore, you are responsible for organizing and executing the experiments.
We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with a PhD degree and expertise in immunological and biomedical techniques. You have experience in the area of immunology and/or cell biology. Experience with in vivo models is advantageous. Furthermore, you are highly motivated and able to work both independently and in a team. Finally, you possess solid communication skills in both written and spoken English.
Fixed-term contract: 1 year.
You will work in 36-hour workweek (fulltime). You will be appointed for one year, possibly to be extended with another year. Your salary is based on your education and experience and amounts to a maximum of € 4,615,- gross per month, based on a fulltime position (scale 10, collective labor agreement University Medical Centers).
The Department of IHB combines fundamental research, translational research and patient-oriented activities. One of the elements this department focuses on is the development of vaccines and immunotherapy for cancer. This project is financed by Health Holland. The section often collaborates with other research groups in- and outside the LUMC.
