Then you might be the next Teaching Support Coordinator (0.6 FTE) for the various teaching programmes at the Personnel & Organisation Management department at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM).


Job description
As a teaching support coordinator, you will co-ordinate activities relating to the delivery of the BSc and MSc portfolio within the Personnel & Organisation Management research department. You will work closely with professors, secretaries and student assistants to ensure our programmes run smoothly. Our teaching portfolio covers state of the art topics within the field of personnel and organisation management, including the areas of human resource management, organisational behaviour, change management, and consulting skills.
Your first task will be to help us set up new ways of working to help with our temporary transition to (full or partial) online education, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic has created many opportunities to innovate our education, and with it the need to co-ordinate greater complexities in our teaching portfolio.
Our students are prepared to become a force for positive change by improving the management of people and organisations in the global business world. You will be part of the conversation that makes the programme experience better for students.
Your main responsibilities include to:
• co-ordinate the project to bring our courses online during the autumn of 2020, including working in partnership with professors to identify resource needs, the learning innovation team to identify opportunities, and other departments within RSM to help us to deliver the high standard of education that we always strive for
• work with our academic directors and department secretaries to co-ordinate teaching resources within our department, including recruitment, training and allocation of student assistants to support our courses
• co-ordinate activities in our two master programmes (Human Resource Management, and Organisational Change and Consulting) as well as in our bachelor courses
• support lectures and workshops in subjects related to HRM, organisational behaviour and organisational theory at master and bachelor level
• manage the online study platform CANVAS, grading exams and assignments, developing and improving teaching materials, and developing new teaching cases, new learning experiences and activities, and video lectures for online and blended learning
• support other Personnel & Organisation Management activities such as programmes kick-off and other one-off events.

Requirements
The ideal candidate …
• has a master degree in a business administration-related subject, ideally in HRM or organisational change and consulting (OCC)
• has an affinity with teaching and the delivery of university-level education
• has knowledge of HRM- or OCC-related topics
• has excellent project management, planning and organisational skills
• has excellent communication skills in English
• is independent, proactive and willing to learn.

Conditions of employment

Employment conditions
The conditions of employment comply with the collective labour agreement for Dutch
Universities (CAO NU). The contract would be initially for six months, with the potential to extend. Salary scale 6 step 5 (€ 2,526), based on a fulltime contract of 38 hours. Work days and hours are flexible.
