Radboud University is an internationally oriented university with a collaborative high-quality work environment. Our academic expertise is closely related to important societal issues. Radboud University offers an ideal academic environment, providing top-level scholars, lab facilities, and a collaboration-oriented infrastructure for advanced multidisciplinary team research and education.
The
Behavioural Science Institute (BSI) is part of the
Faculty of Social Sciences. It is an accredited multidisciplinary behavioural research institute in which researchers collaborate across the boundaries of psychology, educational science and communication science. The BSI has seven research programmes covering three main research themes: (1) development and learning; (2) psychopathology, health and well-being; and (3) social processes and communication. The BSI conducts fundamental as well as applied research. Our PhD candidates are trained at the BSI Graduate School, which is recognised by the Dutch Research council (NWO). The BSI has state-of-the-art research facilities for observational studies, experiments, eye-tracking studies, neurobiological measurements, and behavioural measurements in both real and 3D virtual environments. The neuroimaging facilities of the Donders Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging (e.g. fMRI, EEG) are also available for research on the neural bases of human behaviour.
The
Work, Health and Performance (WHP) research programme of the BSI aims to conduct innovative research on the psychological processes underlying human work behaviour, and health and performance, in order to optimise work behaviour and work contexts. WHP is chaired by Prof. Sabine Geurts. Other faculty members who are currently part of WHP are Dr Debby Beckers, Dr Madelon van Hooff, Dr Yannick Griep, Dr Erik Bijleveld, Dr Brigitte Claessens, Prof. Cécile Boot, and Dr Katharina Bernecker (from 10/2020).
The School of Psychology offers four high-ranking education programmes to approximately 2,000 students: the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in Psychology, and the Research Master’s Programme in Behavioural Science and Cognitive Neuroscience.
