Job description

DesignLab at the University of Twente (UT) has a vacancy for a Project Leader (32h).

DesignLab

DesignLab is a student-driven ecosystem to experiment and innovate to meet the demands of a constantly evolving society. This is achieved through new types of education (such as the master-insert Shaping Responsible Futures), different forms of research (e.g. responsible Design, Open Science, and Citizen Science) and public-private partnerships.

DesignLab is an ecosystem where students and researchers from UT collaborate intensively and enthusiastically with external partners in a transdisciplinary manner on iconic projects facing societal challenges within the focus areas Responsible Design and Citizen Science. With this, DesignLab brings together different stakeholders - researchers and students, but also citizens, companies, governments, knowledge institutes - to work within the DesignLab-approach to translate societal challenges involving interaction between society and technology into research questions and/or practical outcomes by opening up academic research and education.

The working language at DesignLab is English.

Job description

The Project Leader works towards achieving DesignLab’s goals by working closely together with the staff and student employees on activities that connect DesignLab and the UT community. It includes coordination and support of external and internal projects, working together with internal and external partners to deliver the best results.

You efficiently carry out projects and work packages within larger projects. You are eager to search for and contact suitable (internal) partners, researchers, staff and students in order to achieve the result(s) that have been defined for the project(s).

You are in close contact with Program and Project Managers at DesignLab and will carry out your activities in collaboration with a project team. This includes taking part in the daily activities of DesignLab, and actively contributing to further improve the preparation, coordination and evaluation of projects. Last but not least you explore opportunities to maximize the impact of DesignLab within the university, and beyond!
