Value Based Health Care (VBHC) initiatives aim to improve clinical outcomes, patient oriented outcomes and the patient-physician relationship in the consultation room. While the importance of the orientation towards patients is evident, less focus has so far been placed on the pivotal role that health care professionals play in providing care that is of high quality and value based. After having conducted a systematic literature review on VBHC and motivation & well-being, you will collect both quantitative and qualitative data in several Dutch hospitals, including the Erasmus MC, for empirical analysis.
