The environment

Specifically for the implementation of our vision on HR and leadership, we are looking for a professional to help guide the process of change and improvement within our university.

The job

You advise leaders and staff on how to best implement the university’s vision on leadership and development and organize the change processes. You work closely together with the HR-advisors who advise and support the different faculties and service centres and supplement this HR team with knowledge and experience in organisational development.

The perfect person for the job

We are looking for a driven, experienced organisational advisor who is knowledgeable and able to communicate effectively with all levels in a dynamic and complex organisation. You do not shy away from challenges; instead, these motivate and inspire you. You are an independent advisor who knows how to form partnerships and knows how to be a member of a team. You keep perspective, you persevere and you do all of this with a healthy dose of humour.

The university is in the middle of the realisation of the (inter)national programme Recognition & Rewards. Such a movement requires a change in organisational culture, a focus on talent development, development of academic leadership and also a translation into the implementation of this vision.

You have a Master’s degree, preferably in organisational development, work & organisational psychology, HR or a related field;
You have >5 years’ experience in organisational development and HR and have state of the art knowledge in this field;
-You are politically sensitive, diplomatic and have a sense for managing interests and relationships;
-You are structured and keep the helicopter view;
-You know how to strike the right tone in any setting and are persuasive in your arguments, a strong communicator;
-You are result oriented and have a focus on the needs of the organisation and your client;
-You have experience in effectively managing change processes;
-You are able to look at the modern role of HR in an organisation and how to establish this;
-You are not afraid to work hands-on, you are creative and think in solutions;
-You are able to converse fluently in English and Dutch.

Conditions of employment

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

-Working hours between 0.8 and 1.0 fte, 232 holiday hours supplemented with time in lieu, a good pension scheme, and CAO á la carte.
-The salary will be set in scale 11 (between € 3.746 and € 5.127 gross per month) depending on education and relevant work experience. On top of this, there is an 8% holiday and an 8.3% year-end allowance.
-A two-year fixed employment contract.

The terms of employment of Maastricht University are set out in the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities (CAO). Furthermore, local UM provisions also apply.
