The Netherlands Cancer Institute is a comprehensive cancer center in the Netherlands renowned for its cancer research and highly specialized oncological care. The department of Radiology carries out cancer imaging, Artificial Intelligence and interventional oncology reserarch. The highly specialized staff is involved in multidisciplinary research projects in an institute where cross-department collaborations are encouraged. The department has strong collaborations with research teams worldwide including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, Seoul National University and the Harvard Medical School / Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
We have a vacancy for an excellent PhD student with a Medical master Degree and high scientific ambitions. The aim of the PhD project is to investigate modern imaging methods to assess and predict response to colorectal cancer treatment. The profile we’re seeking is an ambitious MD, with a creative mind, who can work independently and willing to work in novel research fields. You have strong communication skills and able to interact with multidisciplinary teams and you can integrate well with co-workers from different fields. As co-worker you are a team player that goes for the group result. You are hard worker and a skilled problem solver. You are able to cope with stressful situations respecting the deadlines. You are open to feedback from your supervisors and willing to improve when needed. The candidate should be fluent in English.
Fixed-term contract: 4 years.
