Effective immediately, we are seeking an inspiring Work- and Organizational Psychology lecturer. The W&O Psychology group provides a Bachelor specialization, a Master’s programme with four specialized Master’s tracks, and is involved in the Psychology Research Master’s programme. Within the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences, the discipline of Psychology offers a range of Bachelor's and Master’s degree programmes. As a lecturer, you will be part of the Work and Organizational Psychology programme group. The teaching and research in our programmes is internationally oriented, offering courses both in English and in Dutch.

What will you be doing?

Your role as a lecturer will consist of (a combination of) the following tasks:

  • developing, coordinating and teaching lectures in organizational culture and organizational structure as part of the 9 EC course Leadership and Organizational Culture;
  • formulating and grading of the exams;
  • developing and teaching work groups on the theme of organizational culture and organizational structure as part of the 9 EC course;
  • teaching working groups on the theme of work, motivation, and health;
  • supervising students.

Requirements

You have:

  • a (nearly completed) PhD in Work and Organizational Psychology, Social Psychology, Organizational Behaviour, Sport Psychology, Behavioural Economics, or related field;
  • English proficiency.

A completed BKO (Basic Teaching Qualification) is a plus.

Conditions of employment

Our offer

Depending on your qualifications, preferences, and seniority we offer you a position as lecturer (docent 3/4) for a contract between 17,5 to 28,5 hours per week (0,46fte to 0,75fte) in an exciting, dynamic and international research environment. The position concerns a temporary appointment for a maximum term of 5 months (starting date preferably as soon as possible).

Salary depends on past education and relevant work experience, with a minimum of €3,746 and a maximum of €5,127 gross per month, based on a full-time appointment for a 38-hour working week (in keeping with scale 11, as per the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities). We additionally offer an extensive package of secondary employee benefits, including a generous holiday scheme and year-end bonus.
