Job description

We are looking for two colleagues who are passionate about education, in particular within the context of Artificial Intelligence. Our Department wants to attract 2 junior lecturers who can strengthen our staff by giving high-quality instruction in teaching. You will support the Bachelor and Master Artificial Intelligence. As junior lecturer, you will be involved in various teaching-related and organizational activities in both programmes.

You will be encouraged to work on academic innovations and to build a portfolio in the context of education, as a preparation for various career paths. To this end, you will have the opportunity to acquire a basic qualification in teaching (‘BKO’).

Your duties
  • supervise bachelor and master thesis projectssupport teachers in individual courses in the AI programmes
  • coordinate student assistants
  • provide technical and organisational assistance for project oriented courses
  • advise on and help with the further development of innovative teaching concepts

  • You have completed a Master in Artificial Intelligence or a related Master programme
  • You are enthusiastic about teaching
  • You have strong oral and written communication skills in English
  • You possess good organizational skills
  • You will be proactive and able to work independently

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 50 months.

A challenging position in a socially involved organization is ideally suited for starting teachers. On full-time basis the remuneration amounts to a minimum gross monthly salary of €2,790 (scale 10) and a maximum €4,402 (scale 10), depending on your education and experience. The job profile: is based on the university job ranking system and is vacant for at least 0.8 FTE.

The appointment is for 4 years and 2 months, including a period of probation of 2 months. The junior lecturer position is placed in the Department of Computer Science. The position is immediately available.
