We are looking for an Event and Community coordinator who will help us further develop the Erasmus Enterprise community by helping in organizing events and representing our community on the EUR Campus with great energy.

We are looking for an Event and Community coordinator who will help us further develop the Erasmus Enterprise community by helping in organizing events and representing our community on the EUR Campus with great energy. You will be coordinating diverse online and offline events, and together with the Community Manager, you will make sure that everything is planned and organized to a tee.

Next to this you will be part of the Erasmus Enterprise team. You will work on diverse projects together and support in further defining the community and supporting the overall strategy of Erasmus Enterprise.

Therefore, we are looking for a self-starter, with an entrepreneurial mindset, who is eager to learn and likes to be part of this new movement at the EUR campus, and enjoys involving our community members and other internal (Erasmus University) and external stakeholders in our mission.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is communicative, structured, and is an organizational star. You have an open personality and you like to communicate effectively. You enjoy multi-tasking, organizing and planning and telling our stakeholders about Erasmus Enterprise and helping visitors to navigate to our community experts. You bring a positive atmosphere and a welcoming feeling to visitors of our corporate home. You enjoy event and facility management and have great organizational skills, and are keen to apply these in an academic environment.

•         You have a completed relevant degree related to Event, Facility, Hospitality or Project management (or are almost graduating);

•         You are a team player, but also a self-starter;

•         You are sharp, well-organized, practical and a multitasker;

•         You have a flexible and accommodating attitude;  

•         You are representative, have great social skills and are approachable, proactive and have effective communication skills. You know how to involve and energize people;

•         You are amicable, a problem solver and at the same time you know how to communicate the community rules to our residents if necessary;

•         You understand the sensitivity of having different organizations within one community;

•         You are fluent in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing;

•         You know how to work with MS Office;

•         An advantage: you have affinity with entrepreneurship, innovation or have worked at an incubator, startup community or startup facilitator;

In your capacity as Event and Community coordinator you are, together with the Community Manager, one of the first points of contact for our stakeholders and therefore represent our organization and community to our current and potential customers and partners. You are proud of our community and like to share this energy with everyone.

Through your hands-on and proactive attitude and by solution thinking you understand how to elevate the team efforts. You know how to work in a structured and efficient way and are cable of managing your priorities. You know our contacts and stakeholders and help in maintaining fruitful relationships with them by communicating and acting timely and accurately.

You help to develop and organize community events and with facilitation and hospitality, to run event operations smoothly and make our events as successful and impactful as possible.

Through your skills and within your capacity you create the necessary foundation that allows our community to thrive.
