Job description

We are looking for a Front Desk support employee that will be the welcoming face of Erasmus Enterprise and represent our community on the EUR Campus with great energy. Next to this you will be part of the Erasmus Enterprise team and support the team administratively.

In your capacity as Front Desk support employee you are the first point of contact for the visitors of the Q and N buildings and therefore represent our organization and community to our current and potential customers and partners. You are responsible for managing the front desk in the Q building. You receive guests upon arrival in the main lounge and provide them with the necessary information or point them to the right location. You answer inquiries of walk-ins and tell them enthusiastically about Erasmus Enterprises, our community and our subsidiaries: ECE, ERBS and YES!Delft, and other community members, and provide them with the necessary contact information to receive further information. You are proud of our community and like to share this energy with everyone who comes through our doors.

You are part of the Erasmus Enterprise team. Through your proactive attitude and by solution thinking you understand how to elevate the team efforts. You know how to work in a structured and efficient way and are cable of managing your priorities. You know our community members and stakeholders and help in maintaining fruitful relationships with them by communicating and acting timely and accurately.

As a Front Desk support employee you make sure that the buildings are always in a representative state, so that our residents can run their operations swiftly, and diverse visitors like investors and partners feel at home in our energetic and professional environment. You manage the office supplies and make sure that enough stock is maintained for our community by reordering when necessary. During community events you help with facilitation and hospitality to run operations smoothly and make our events as successful and impactful as possible.

Through your skills and within your capacity, by representing our community with effective communication and energetic representation, you create the necessary foundation that allows our community to thrive.

Requirements

You will play a key role in representing and maintaining our vibrant and diverse on-site community. We are looking for someone that is communicative, structured, and is an organizational star. You have an open personality and you like to communicate effectively. You enjoy answering questions about our community and helping visitors to get to their appointments quickly. You are a problem-solver, multi-tasker and good planner. You bring a positive atmosphere and a welcoming feeling to visitors of our corporate home. You are a student with great organizational skills and are keen to apply these in an academic environment.

•         You are sharp, well-organized, practical and a multitasker;

•         You have a flexible and accommodating attitude;  

•         You are representative, have great social skills and are approachable, proactive and have effective communication skills;

•         You are amicable, a problem solver and at the same time you know how to communicate the community rules to our residents if necessary;

•         You understand the sensitivity of having different organizations within one community;

•         You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing;

•         You know how to work with MS Office;

•         An advantage: you have Front desk, Hospitality, or Administrative experience;

•         An advantage: you have affinity with entrepreneurship, innovation or have worked at an incubator, startup community or startup facilitator;
