The department of Organization, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship (OSE) at the School of Business and Economics (SBE), Maastricht University, is looking for a full-time doctoral researcher (i.e. a Ph.D., student) starting between September-December 2021 or early 2022. The department has a broad research agenda spanning the areas of Industrial Organization and Entrepreneurship, International Business and Strategic Management, Organizational Behavior and HRM as well as the interrelationships between these disciplines. The current position will be based within the Organization section of the OSE department that is led by Professor Simon de Jong.
The OSE department is a leading, international and dynamic scientific environment with a pleasant and constructive working atmosphere. The quality of the department as well as the School is, amongst others, reflected by the Triple Crown accreditation by EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA.
Candidates are expected to enter the doctoral program of the Graduate School of Business and Economics (GSBE) at Maastricht University and to deliver a doctoral dissertation within four years.
Candidates are expected to have finished a 2-years research master or a 1-year master in the field of OB/HRM or a related field.
The position requires at least a master degree in a relevant field, good quantitative skills (or willingness and ability to learn these), and fluency in both spoken and written English. Individuals with a research master’s degree and/or excellent (‘honours’-level) results in prior studies are especially encourage to apply. Moreover, you share our ambition to conduct high-quality research with academic and societal impact. Knowledge of R is considered to be an advantage.
Fixed-term contract: Temporary, maximum 4 years.
