Your challenge
As a Lecturer Corporate & Sustainable Finance you will be part of the finance and accounting department, which consists of 12 professors and lecturers. In addition to teaching finance and accounting fundamentals, the department faculty conducts research in the areas of behavioural finance, financial reporting, financial markets, fintech and micro finance. 
The Lecturer Corporate & Sustainable Finance fulfils the following responsibilities: 

  • teach financial and accounting modules at the undergraduate level;
  • supervise bachelor theses in the area of international finance;
  • incorporates relevant trends and developments in international finance and business into teaching;
  • develop and maintain an international professional network in the area of international finance and accounting;
  • act as an engaged and collegial team member and contribute proactively to the department and to the School’s development and its international visibility.

Requirements

About you
Our ideal candidate

  • holds a master’s degree in a related subject such as corporate finance, financial markets, sustainable finance or risk management, (DBA or PhD is preferred);
  • has demonstrated ability in research informed teaching and experience in blended learning or e-learning;
  • can supervise bachelor theses and coaching internships;
  • has experience in industry in the financial sector is desirable;
  • preferably has knowledge of procedures and standards within (Dutch) higher education and AMSIB;
  • is a team player with excellent communication skills;
  • has an entrepreneurial attitude and proactive engagement in the department and School’s development;
  • has excellent communication skills in English.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: One year. If we are enthusiastic about your performance and you are enjoying yourself, we will discuss a possible extension;.

What you can expect from us

  • to start working in a fun and driven team in a pleasant workplace;
  • your activities will be part of the organizational function of Teacher/researcher 2 and is remunerated at salary scale 11 (Collective Labour Agreement for Universities of Professional Education);
  • the maximum gross monthly salary for this position is € 5.026, based on a full-time appointment;
  • your salary will depend on your level of education and experience;
  • a temporary appointment for one year. If we are enthusiastic about your performance and you are enjoying yourself, we will discuss a possible extension;
