Are you passionate about open science and open scholarship? Do you like to constructively discuss these topics on social media? Do you enjoy organizing (online) events on open scholarship practices, including lectures and practical workshops?
The Open Science Community Rotterdam (OSCR) is looking for a Community Manager to strengthen outreach and improve its offer of educational and social events. Your tasks will include inviting open science scholars to contribute to our events and advertising our activities on social media. You will join Erasmus Research Services (ERS) -- a young and dynamic department within Professional Services at Erasmus University Rotterdam -- and directly collaborate with the Coordinator Open Science at ERS, Dr. Antonio Schettino.

The successful candidate will be offered a one year contract with Erasmus University Rotterdam. The candidate will start as soon as possible and will be based at Erasmus Research Services.
In accordance with the conditions applied at Erasmus University Rotterdam as indicated in the Collective Labour Agreement (CAO NU) of the Dutch universities, the salary is dependent on the candidate’s experience and is set at CAO NU scale 10 with a minimum of € 2.836 and a maximum of € 4.474 gross per month, on a fulltime basis. In addition, EUR pays an 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year payment of 8.3% and offers excellent secondary benefits, and a very generous leave scheme. Furthermore, EUR is affiliated with ABP for the pension provision and we offer partially paid parental leave, fully paid extended birth leave for partners, a personal education budget, work-life balance coaches and more. Employees can also use EUR facilities, such as the Erasmus sports center and the University library.

The Open Science Community Rotterdam (OSCR) comprises researchers and research support staff working at Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) and Erasmus Medical Center (ErasmusMC). We discuss, evaluate, learn, and adopt open science practices at every stage of the research cycle, from the initial idea to the final publication. OSCR is part of the International Network of Open Science and Scholarship Communities (INOSC), a network of grassroot communities where newcomers and experienced peers interact, inspire each other to embed Open Scholarship values and practices, and provide feedback on policies, infrastructure, and support services.
Department Erasmus Research Services (ERS)
Erasmus Research Services (ERS) supports researchers to perform excellent research and to generate impact with their research. The support of ERS is defined as progressive and forward-looking and drives a future-oriented, university-wide research and impact agenda. The following areas of support are embedded within ERS: Business Development, Grant Support, Legal Counsels, Open Science, Research Data Management, Ethics Review, and Research Intelligence. ERS is a relatively young service department within Erasmus University and steadily building and extending its service portfolio. ERS provides support to all faculties of Erasmus University (occasionally to Erasmus Medical Center) and works in close collaboration with research support staff at faculties and other EUR central services. We do so by setting up support communities under the coordination of ERS.
