Job description

Your responsibilities reside in two areas: (1) MANAGE the existing M&C infrastructure to ensure business continuity, and (2) INNOVATE by using modern tools and techniques to increase online engagement with new (potential) clients. As our Online Marketing Officer, you will:

  • initiate, execute, and coordinate M&C projects and campaigns, with an emphasis on Search Engine Optimisation & Advertising (SEO/SEA);
  • monitor and analyse performance of ongoing projects/campaigns, and advise UMIO on further continuation and/or optimisation;

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, communications, or related fields
  • Preferably 2-3 years of work experience in related positions
  • Excellent communication skills (writing/speaking) in English and Dutch
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate into concrete advice
  • Natural curiosity for and affinity with technology-driven innovations in the fields of marketing and communications
  • Hands-on, entrepreneurial attitude with continuous innovation and progress in mind
  • Solid experience with marketing-related tools (e.g. WordPress, Google Analytics/AdWords,
  • LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Email automation software, Zapier, Gravity Forms, Adobe
  • InDesign-Illustrator-Photoshop, etc.) and communication channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 1 year.

We offer a 0.6-0.9 fte appointment (22.8-34.2 hours/week) for the period of one year. Remuneration will be according to scale 8 or 9 of the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities, depending on education and relevant work experience.
