The RSM Project Desk is hiring a Medior Project Manager (0.8-1.0 FTE) for education projects. This position is new and will become part of the support offered by the Project Desk and gives you the opportunity to help develop this role.

Job description

The support of the Project Desk now mainly consists of project management for funded research projects and with this new position its support will extend to education projects within the faculty.

Your main tasks
In this position you will:
  • be responsible for delivering HEQA-financed projects as defined and agreed within the Programme Quality & Innovation team
  • contribute to a smooth, successful implementation and management of education innovation and improvement projects, in close co-operation with the project leaders, professional services, and stakeholders within and outside of RSM such as the EUR Strategy Office and controllers
  • be critical but also open to ideas and wishes from the stakeholders
  • represent RSM and take part in relevant discussions in order to develop necessary processes and reports
  • co-ordinate, monitor and improve the reporting processes and ensure timely and up-to-date project reporting with the help of a project management tool
  • monitor the budget for the project activities in co-operation with the project controller.
The candidate can in time also develop further knowledge and experience for the support of funded research projects.

Requirements

You are eligible for the role if you have:
  • an academic background, preferably MSc level
  • affinity with education; experience in innovation projects would be a plus
  • preferably several years of experience in project management specifically in education
  • an interest in educational processes and the role of stakeholders in this area
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in Dutch and English (CEFR C1)
  • willingness to work flexibly and able to function well under stress as multiple projects are to be monitored and managed at the same time with sometimes tight deadlines
  • excellent planning and organisational skills, with experience in applying these in a complex and dynamic context
  • obtained or willing to obtain a certificate in project management (i.e. IPMA-D, Prince2, or other).

  • Strong service orientation with a hands on and proactive attitude but also can be strict towards stakeholders and the project leader to meet deadlines.
  • Professional and reliable individual.
  • Have an eye for organisation sensitiveness.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 12 months, with a possible extension until the end of the project.

A position for 0.8-1.0 FTE

Employment: temporary, initially for one year and after a successful evaluation the contract can be extended for the duration of the HEQA-financed project until end 2024.

The conditions of employment correspond with the collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU). We offer a 0,8-1.0 FTE contract, initially for one year. Salary is subject to training and experience and may vary from a minimum of € 3,807 up to a maximum of € 5,211 gross per month (scale 11 CAO NU), based on a full-time contract of 38 hours. A start scale (scale 10 CAO NU) may be instituted.
