As part of the Communication in Science team you will provide instruction in scientific writing and training in presentation skills to students of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at bachelor’s and master’s levels in English. You will work closely together with fellow teachers in developing teaching content, teaching students of all levels and contributing to the organization of the curriculum. Your tasks will vary from teaching writing clinics to giving presentation trainings and from tutoring individual students to developing new assignments. Our teaching program implements a task-based learning approach and is fully integrated within the content curriculum.

You (preferably) have experience in teaching third-level students in academic communication skills and you have an affinity with science communication and experience with scientific research genres. You have a background in academic communication skills, English for academic purposes, or rhetoric/argumentation. You are a team player, you are comfortable in co-teaching situations and can function in a dynamic working environment. Further, you have strong personal communication skills, good organizational skills and a sense of humor.
You will be employed on the basis of 22 hours per week. The starting date of the position is 15 January 2022. The position is available for eight months with a possibility for longer term extension. Your salary is based on your education and experience and is a maximum of € 4,615 gross per month for a full time position (scale 10 in the Collective Labour Agreement for University Hospitals).
