Job description

As a lecturer in the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology, you can be involved in our teaching activities in the Law in Society (LL.B) bachelor program, as we as in our Dutch Law (Rechtsgeleerdheid) bachelor and master programmes.

Your duties
You will contribute to:
  • the preparation and teaching of seminars in the abovesaid programmes;
  • the grading of exams;
  • the supervision and assessment of students' written assignments.

Requirements

For this position we are looking for a candidate with a completed Master's degree in Law (LL.M.), preferably specializing in the field of international criminal law. Candidates are expected to:
  • have a demonstrable interest in providing university education. Academic and/or practical experience in international criminal law is a strong asset.
  • have an excellent command of the English language, both verbally and in writing. The candidate must be able to teach classes in English.
  • Have a University Teaching Qualification, or be willing to obtain one.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 1 year.

A challenging position in a socially involved organization. On full-time basis the remuneration amounts to a minimum gross monthly salary of €2,836 (scale 10)
and a maximum €4,474 (scale 10), depending on your education and experience. The job profile: is based on the university job ranking system and is vacant for at least 0.8 FTE.

The initial employment contract will affect a period of 1 year, with the option of extension.
